These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the website roofingexpert.co.nz and any roofing services provided by My Homes Roofing Expert, located at 84B West Harbour Drive, West Harbour, Auckland 0618, New Zealand.

By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

My Homes Roofing Expert provides residential and commercial roofing services across Auckland, New Zealand. Our services include:

• Roof painting — full roof repainting using Dulux and approved coatings
• Roof cleaning — soft-wash and water-blast cleaning of all roof types
• Roof repair — leak detection, flashing, and structural repairs
• Moss & algae treatment — chemical treatment to prevent regrowth
• House re-roofing — full roof replacement using quality NZ Steel materials
• Garage & carport re-roofing — affordable re-roofing for outbuildings
• Emergency roof repair — urgent repairs available 7 days
• Commercial roofing — industrial and commercial roof services across Auckland
• Metal roofing — supply and installation of long-run metal roofing

All services are provided subject to a written quote accepted by the client. We reserve the right to decline any work at our discretion.

We provide free, no-obligation quotes for all roofing services. All quotes are:

• Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
• In New Zealand dollars (NZD) and inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise
• Based on the scope of work identified during an on-site assessment
• Subject to change if the scope of work changes after the initial inspection — we will always notify you before proceeding

We stand behind our work. My Homes Roofing Expert provides a written workmanship warranty on all completed roofing projects. Warranty specifics are outlined in your individual job contract, but generally include:

• Roof painting: 7–10 year workmanship warranty (subject to paint manufacturer warranty)
• Roof repair: minimum 2 year workmanship warranty on repairs completed
• Re-roofing (house/garage): 10+ year workmanship warranty on installation
• Roof cleaning & moss treatment: 12-month satisfaction guarantee

Material warranties are subject to the terms of the respective manufacturer — including NZ Steel, Dulux, and other approved Auckland suppliers.

Payment terms are outlined in your individual quote and invoice. Our standard terms are:

• Payment upon completion unless a deposit or staged payment schedule has been agreed in writing
• Accepted payment methods: bank transfer (preferred), credit/debit card, and cash
• Deposits may be required for large re-roofing projects or special-order materials
• Late payments may attract interest in accordance with the Interest on Money Claims Act 2016

If you have any concerns about an invoice, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We are always willing to discuss payment arrangements for genuine hardship situations.

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair for both parties:

• More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation fee — we will reschedule at no charge
• 24–48 hours notice: A small administration fee may apply to cover scheduling costs
• Less than 24 hours notice: A call-out or preparation fee may apply, particularly for larger jobs where materials have been pre-ordered
• Weather cancellations: We will reschedule at no cost — your safety and our team's safety always comes first

My Homes Roofing Expert holds full public liability insurance and trade cover on every job. We take every precaution to protect your property during works.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, My Homes Roofing Expert shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed.

• We are not liable for pre-existing damage discovered during works unless agreed in writing beforehand
• We are not liable for delays caused by weather, material supply issues, or circumstances beyond our control
• All our team members are trained, licensed, and covered under our public liability insurance policy

All content on this website — including text, images, videos, and graphics — is the property of My Homes Roofing Expert and is protected by New Zealand copyright law.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission
• Our website is provided "as is" — while we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee it at all times
• Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only — we are not responsible for their content or practices
• We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of our website at any time without notice

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of our website or services shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

We encourage all clients to contact us directly in the first instance to resolve any concerns. We are committed to fair and transparent resolution of all disputes.

These terms were last reviewed in March 2026. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time — updated terms will be posted on this page.
